Separated at Birth

Just to Set the Record Straight

… I do not REALLY think you are harpies, O Best Beloveds. The meme was fun and I have enjoyed reading everyone else’s. Secretly I wanted to do it. You cantell when I really do not want to do a thing by how I sit here and do not do it.

…I am not really going to go to Vermont and hit the cheese-is-a-condiment lady in the face. I WAS hard on her. It was wrong of me. On the other hand… CHEESE IS NOT A FREAKIN’ CONDIMENT. Just sayin.’

I have to drive to Jekyll Island in a second, but HOLY CATS I saw a pic on the web the other day and Scarlett Johansen is WEARING a pink version Maisy’s yellow chair.

GAH I wish my phone took better pictures…

You're not going to beat her up? Oh, ok then. She surely deserves the snit and threat though, might make her take her cheese more seriously. I boggled at the condiment notion myself, and I am not a weight-watcher (I probably should be, but that's another story).

For why do you apologize about the harpies thing? From the header I had a picture of WoW-type harpies screeching and swooping out of your screen, which amused me greatly (and means I should probably get out more), but no offense was to be found. I cannot even remember if I tagged you on my list, but yours is a gagillion (is that a number? It is now!) times better than mine - I'm still giggling at Sam's "Dats um pen" and oddly relieved that your pathwords score was the result of a trance (cheese induced?) since I pretty much fail at it, despite my love of words - btw why does pathwords not think "zen" is a word?

Rom - probably because it's not English, technically :P There are so many different dictionaries that the word games use and oh it can be frustrating!

Anyway...harpy...nah. No offense taken here ;)

OH! I used to have THAT EXACT print in my bedroom. Does she have the curtains and the comforter and all that?? It was so beautiful and I love it still to this day! It's perfect for Maisy!

*Sigh* I worry about myself when I look at the picture of Maisy's chair and the first thing I notice is not the fabric, but, "Hey! That doll is dressed!" I do not think we currently have a single clad doll in the house, despite the fact that we have absolutely buckets of dolls.

They are not at ALL the same, except in that both are floral. She would probably ALSO look good in Maisy's chair fabric, but NOT the same.

I was afraid that the bridesmaids (including me) would look like upholstery at my sister's wedding, but we looked pretty darn good - I guess I'm just glad that you were not there to be distressed by our drapery impression.

I love florals, although I am not currently wearing one or using them in decor. But I'm not ruling it out, if I get a room I want to look nice and sunny, like Maisy's chair.

I think Maisy's chair is a perfect summation of little girlhood. . .floral fabric, a unicorn (pink no less), and an American Girl doll.

I think it was funny that you both called us harpies (which we truly deserve after all of the pink sox reminders) AND threatened to beat up a woman who thinks cheese is a condiment. I would live a much, much healthier, thinner life if I believed that things like cheese and chocolate and Cheetos and Chik Fil A were condiments.

Alas, I find them to be totally fulfilling foodstuffs that make me feel better when my hormones swing in a certain direction at a certain time. Wink. Wink.

Jekyll Island....I luv, luv Jekyll.

Are you going for work or play? We go every other week or so to ride our bikes and have Sunday brunch at the JI Club.

OMG. When the hubs and I moved into our first little rental back in 1985 the smallest bedroom had vinyl on the floor in that exact pink print. Pink background with HUGE pink and red ginormous cabbage roses all over it. It's still ugly and uglier still as a dress.

I'm still trying to beat your pathwords score. It's like a shiny gold ring that stays just out of reach :)

1.) Okay, so maybe she shouldn't be "beat up" per se, but she is at least deserving of a good Indian Burn. (Is that politically incorrect?)

1.5) BTW, in Alabama, gravy is not a condiment, it is a beverage.

2.) WHAT happened to Scarlett? Somebody force-feed her a sandwich! Some cake! Hook her up to a Yoo-Hoo IV! They Law....

3.) It's almost our birthday! :o)
