Huzzah. And Yay. And Yippee. See also: WHEEEE!

I am absolutely FREAKIN’ DELIGHTED to report that gods in Alabama made the short list for WORLD BOOK DAY. I am in lofty company, and quite flattered to be shortlisted. Also surprised and pleased and delighted and all good things, but most of all, I am hugely grateful to readers and regs who think highly enough of my work to take the time to vote for it. It’s a lovely, lovely feeling.

They wiped the votes and have started completely OVER to now select one book from the ten as “the book to talk about” in 2008. If you liked gods and want to vote, or if you voted for it before and you want your vote to COUNT in the final round, here is the link.

And did you notice that yours is the only American book on the list? And one of only two non Brits on the list! A big heaping bowl of Yay for you! (Note: Although delicious, Yay is completely sugar and wine free, so enjoy with abandon!!!)
