You so deserve this after the horrors you went through Sunday night. (No bar, indeed!)
WTG... I told you that you were brilliant. It is time you realized it.

YAY for you!!! :D
D xxx
Posted by: diane at June 21, 2006 5:17 AMThat rocks! It's not surprising at all, but it still rocks.
I sat in a not-so-indie bookstore last night and read about 50 pages of Between while waiting for the nice clerk to locate a copy of gIA for me. They supposedly had 11 copies in the store, but not a single one could be found. Very disappointing. So they're special ordering it for me.
From what I read of Between, I can sense that it is a very dangerous book. I mean, how many books can get you snorting an iced caramel latte in public?
Yay!!!!
Posted by: Waylon at June 21, 2006 8:07 AMYeah Joshilyn! So cool! Gotta hand it to those Indies, too. They know a good book when they read it. Congrats, dear lady.
Posted by: David at June 21, 2006 8:10 AMYou totally rock and are pretty and pettable and all that other stuff....that you know, but that it's good to be reminded of. I was in a very widely known store, whose name I will only say can be found also at on a gun range....and saw gIA on the shelf, the bottom shelf, so I moved it, up, into line of vision, and scared the willies out of a very nice lady who was strolling the same location by picking up the book, laughing out loud and telling her that "her summer would not be complete unless she read this book..." She looked at me strangly and I slinked off, but peaked around the corner, and sure enough, SHE BOUGHT IT!!!! I don't care, I will stalk for Joss.
Congrats Pluffy, you ROCK!!!!
Posted by: Gabi at June 21, 2006 8:20 AMI am doing the "happy-eared-snoopy-dance" for ya!
Way to go!
Yaaaayyyy!!! See! I TOLD you yours was the best!! Smart Indies. Pretty Indies! HUGE Congrats to you, Joss!

Posted by: dragonfly at June 21, 2006 12:56 PMCongratulations! Will you have to give an acceptance speech?
Now you have money for awesome shoes for the gIA film premiere (which cannot be too far in the future now).
Posted by: Elizabeth at June 21, 2006 1:02 PMIs that you all sprawled out in the spirit, drooling out the sides of yo'mouth? Well, give me a rattler and let me sing some praises, too! Lawd, in a world where there's so little to rejoice over, this is good news...
Posted by: Karen Spears Zacharias at June 21, 2006 10:59 PMOh Peach! Many many congrats from the Left Coast, but we knew it all along and would have bought a membership in SIBA if we thought the vote was in doubt.
I would like everyone to know that according to Shelf Awareness you can soon download posters and shelf talkers on the SIBA site and peeps can decorate their own homes to look just like an indie store! Remember - face out the newest book!
pimp my bookshelf!
If they cannot download the poster, their local indie (who belongs to SIBA) would be proud to print them a poster for a quarter or so... and to hear how much we all love you! and Thank Them! we didn't get to vote, but we are so happy!
