Posted by joshilyn at April 17, 2006 6:35 PMBears and fox alike
the Butterflies meet and part
Are we not the same?
Tiny fox-faced girl
You want to come home with me
Hope I win today!
Edward Scissorhands
Was only the beginning
Marry me, Johnny!
White rabbit jumps high,
acrobatically twisting
to land and run fast.
Beauty betrays you
Seek deeper than the skin
Wit abounds within.
Some Bobby Jackson art
would look so beautiful here
shining on my desk.
Here a girl is born,
There stolen. Destined to live
between fox and bear.
A fluid embrace
Silvery pearls of moonlight
On the ocean's crest
The candle daydreamed
Flickering thoughts, dancing light
Filling the shadows
Kilimanjaro
Majestic African prince
Rules high above us.
Bleeding orange lies
in two halves in my trashcan.
What a way to die.
Huge gentle bear paws
show 'neath a cherry red skirt
on a quiet fox.
I've often thought that
being a woman hurts, (just
like being a man.)
1)
save now? one more word
one more sentence written
I am not done yet
2)
Save now? Ha! I scoff!
Blue screen of death does not scare!
for I use a Mac
A little gross but someting I battle daily:
dog, do not eat it!
the cat does not leave you gifts
shaped like tootsie rolls.
Intoxication
Excitement swells within me
The new moon blushes
Hi all. I'm new, here and with Haiku... Sure would like to have one of those cute critters! Mostly because of the charm, and the artistry is beautiful! Here goes nothing!
I am a rose bud
Flowering in the warm day
Resting in the night.
Girl with a vision
Places her pen to the mat
Writes to share her dreams.
Recognition seeks
The artist and the dreamer
All one desire
Haiku is rare art
The wit and artist must be
United in thought.
My brother, my friend
A whole lifetime together
Creates memories
That was my attempt at five different entries... This is a great site! I followed a link from Miss Snark, the Literary Agent

Posted by: Miss Audrey at April 19, 2006 12:55 AMMoonglow shines
Swaddled in ebony tresses
So sleeps beauty
Librarians look up-
out library windows
red bird, pink trees.
By the barn, snow flies
In the field, cherry blossoms...
Walk which way, which way?
fox stands onliest
and encompassed entirely
bears hold her closely
Even in dark times
With a price above rubies
Should be valued love
precious! me wants it
not for filthy hobbitses
has to be tricksy
Mothers teach daughters
Life is laughter mixed with pain
Don't make my mistakes
Shriveled bananas.
Could be reborn as bread, but...
I'm out of eggs, too.
O! Gentle girl-fox
Proper in your pretty dress-
Beware of bear claws
Painted, she looks at
someone. Green, she's still looking
at everything. Truth.
She stands, patient.
Soft brown eyes gaze, paws raised,
Bear claws gently curled.
Sweet Nonny, my girl
I capture your likeness thus
Fox and bear, halfbreed
Long winter waiting.
slowly snow gives birth to mud,
soaring spirits. Spring!
Must. Have. Figurine.
SHINY!
NEED. Figurine.
so here is my front-yard-in-spring-inspired haiku.
Brilliant sunyellow
A burst of forsythia
A scalding of light
Snow here, blossoms there.
Which way you ask? No Brainer;
Arizona waits.
Between, Georgia is
Soon to be my favorite
Book. I want that fox!
When will July come?
Not soon enough! A small fox
Will help the time pass.
Amma D. I love your haiku answer to mine! I have to keep it going past the deadline...
arizona sun
bleached bones, red skies, desert rose -
green comes in the east.
