I think I will close registration on, say, Wednesday, so this is CLOSE TO THE LAST CHANCE to register for the drawing to win a signed ARC!
We cruelly put Maisy in bed for a nap again today, and once again she climbed up into her window and LOUDLY importuned the neighborhood at large for rescue.

Now, though, instead of just yawping HELP HELP, she has added SAVE ME! HELP! SAVE ME!

Kinda makes you want to scale the wall, doesn't it?
Look at that sad little face. She is so adorable...I'd come to rescue her. You meany, you!
LOL - kids, having fun, yet?
:-)
dee
How could you be so cruel to that child?
*muffledlaughter*

Posted by: Amy at January 3, 2005 7:12 PMOh my goodness, I would totally scale the outside wall of your home to rescue that sweet baby.
WHAT SORT OF NAP-FORCING MONSTER ARE YOU????
Posted by: Mir at January 3, 2005 8:21 PM"Hark, what light through yon window breaks?..." *laughing* Oh, no! The consumate young actress has discovered THE AUDIENCE. And what's this? The audience has A CAMERA. FOOL! You have just sealed your fate. See, and this never woulda happened if the headboard had been parked against the WALL. *still laughing*
Posted by: David at January 3, 2005 10:48 PMThere has never been a cuter, smarter little girl than that!! A prodigy, I tell you!!!
Posted by: BJ at January 4, 2005 1:34 PMI dunno. I think the fear of someone hearing "save me save me" would kill me. I halfway recall witnessing a little kid of a parent I knew yelling "She's not my mommy" at the park because he was going home to a punishment for something else. He was just a little toddler.
And it might be that my kids were overly simplistic, but two of my three children fell for taking naps simply by changing the name of the event to "Happy Nap" and treating it like the most fantastic thing ever.
Posted by: Tookshire at January 4, 2005 9:06 PMheheheh...happy nap.
Posted by: DLFP at January 5, 2005 4:24 PMThat's too funny. Sounds like something one of my sister's children would do to her. ;)
