Comments: Surgery Follow Up

Yay! I'm glad that she's ok.

Posted by Nikki at March 30, 2010 2:09 AM

If she had done what I suspect she had done (which is very similar to something I had done a while back), she's gonna feel so much better once she's past that initial recovery stage that she's going to think she can fly.

So glad to hear all is well! Best to ALL of you!

Posted by Fran at March 30, 2010 2:38 AM

Glad to hear it! YAAY! Tell her I have been whispering "I do believe in novelists" and clapping my hands mystically at twilight every evening when the first wee star appears in the sky and the rabbits blow their noses signifying a fairy is born. Or something like that.

Posted by edj at March 30, 2010 5:23 AM

So glad it's over. Except the bedrest part which can be hard. Hugs.

Posted by Olive Cooper at March 30, 2010 5:41 AM

Yeah!!!!! Keeping you all in our prayers. Wishing we could be closer to bring you some snacks and pet the poor novelist.

Posted by Leigh at March 30, 2010 6:33 AM

Thank you so much for letting us know. It's crazy to be this worried about someone I've never met in real life, but I am!

Love to all of you and wishes for a speedy recovery!

Posted by Jen at March 30, 2010 6:47 AM

Make sure not to let her run off and do several "Boot Camps" in a row after the prescribed recovery period! I know she'll feel like her muscle tone has gone all to jelly, but she'll just have to take it easy for a little bit. ;-D

Posted by Brigitte at March 30, 2010 7:23 AM

So glad all is well!

And a husband who can still call you hot under those circumstances is a keeper...

Posted by Jennifer at March 30, 2010 8:15 AM

Of course she's fine! She has wonderful people and family looking out for her.

Posted by Lia at March 30, 2010 8:48 AM

Glad to hear she's doing well. Good luck with
keeping her in bed for a week.

So glad to hear she is doing well.
And thanks for keeping us posted.

Posted by Theresa at March 30, 2010 9:19 AM

So glad everything went well!! (I do believe in novelists, I do)

Mr. Husband, you sure are a keeper - good call on not posting your very fine photographs.

Posted by JenniferG at March 30, 2010 10:24 AM

Yay! I'm so glad it went well. Good call on not posting the photographs -- it's not a good idea to annoy someone who can think up a creative and heretofore unknown way of killing you.

PS -- I ***DO*** believe in novelists!

Posted by Aimee at March 30, 2010 10:38 AM

Glad she's ok. Good luck on the recovery period. If she's anything like me during my enforced bed-rest while pregnant, she will want to be up and about after the first day. :) Good luck!

Posted by Billie at March 30, 2010 10:53 AM

So glad to hear she is doing well!

Posted by Kim at March 30, 2010 10:56 AM

Yay! That's good news. I'll keep praying.

Are the socks pink?

Posted by Meg Moseley at March 30, 2010 11:18 AM

Wonderful news! Hope she can let herself enjoy resting and being spoiled for a few days.

Posted by Julie G at March 30, 2010 11:32 AM

Thank you for the update Mr. Hubby. We are all wishing for a proper recovery for your wonderful wife. Remember to keep the house quite and clean so she won't go all mental-er and want to clean as soon as she walks through the door...

Posted by Linda J at March 30, 2010 11:52 AM

In spite of the wonderful blogs by Mr. Husband, we miss you, Joshilyn. Get well soon!

Posted by Jujube at March 30, 2010 12:30 PM

GET WELL SOON!! I'm so glad surgery went well.. Thanks to Scott for the updates - he's definitely a keeper for telling us all the news and for still thinking your hot when hospital bound.

Glad the surgery went well. Thanks for the update. Rest well, Joshilyn!

Posted by Holly at March 30, 2010 3:26 PM

There's easier ways to get out of cleaning than surgery, you know.

Hope you're feeling much better and recover well.

Posted by Reb at March 30, 2010 3:58 PM

Glad to hear it, not that I doubted it.

Posted by RandomRanter at March 30, 2010 5:51 PM

Yay!

Posted by JulieB at March 30, 2010 8:51 PM

I'm so glad to hear that it went well! I hope you're feeling better soon, and that this takes care of the anemia once and for all.

Posted by Sandi at March 30, 2010 9:23 PM

So glad the surgery went well! Hope this just makes for more novel- and blog-fodder and such.

Can't imagine bed rest will do much for the insomnia though. But dark chocolate might help everything.

Prayers, best wishes & cheers!

Uh-oh. This has got to mean no Calvin Festival, doesn't it. Drat and double drat. Very well, missy, you have two years to rest up -- don't let me catch you up here without your full contingent of hemoglobin. And a pair of pink socks.

Posted by rams at March 31, 2010 12:08 PM

Good friends, funny kids, lots of fans and a husband who thinks you're hot in a hospital gown. What more could you want? Oh, a body that feels better? Well, we all hope you'll have that soon. Praying for you and yours.

You need to post here more often :)

Tell Sugar Dumplin' to get her swell self well. I can't get through my day without reading her diatribes on life with kids. We need her out here in the 'burbs!

Posted by gin at April 2, 2010 10:46 AM

Oh, hey, regarding the insomnia, a friend of mine told me that green tea has some chemical in it that helps you sleep. I drink 2 cups of decaf green tea, and haven't had a sleepless night in a long, long time, if you don't count the days I didn't drink my tea.

Get well soon, honeybunch!

Posted by Elizabeth at April 2, 2010 4:43 PM

Thank Mr. Husband for the update :) I have been worried and missing her. Make sure she has lots to do while on bed rest - like open a present a day from her special man :)
GET WELL SOON Joss!

Jossie, I heard you were coming to Decatur?????????????????????? Love, Your Aunt Susie

Posted by Susie Minor at April 5, 2010 10:20 PM

Dear Mr. Husband,

It has been many many hours since we've had an update. While I know your free hours, and I'm sure they are many, are occupied with dancing attendance on your lady-faire, do please let us know if she's alright and if you're okay. We miss her and this long silence is worrisome. plskthxbai.

Posted by Chrissie at April 6, 2010 9:31 AM

Glad all is fine! Sending all the positive white light i can muster. Get well!
