Comments: Double-You Tee Aitch

Looks to be another moth, though not quite so bad. I'm thinking the White Marked Tussock Moth shown on

Perhaps you could start a whole farm of kudzu, velvet ants, palmetto bugs, black widows, etc. It would keep unwanted people away, anyhow.

What a NEAT crawly guy (or gal)!

This, the most attractive and intriguing of all your creepy-crawlies, you brought in to feed to the Pestilent Vermins? How could you? Feed the PVs to him. Put a little bib on his neck (if you can find it) and let him feast. Maybe he'd like to eat the tents for dessert.

Are you sure you didn't just make him up out of pipe cleaners? He looks too sparkly new and brilliantly white and vivaciously orange to be really real.

I'm not a big fan of insects in general, but he (or she) is pretty darned impressive!

Hee! If it's not the name of a mixed drink, it SHOULD be.

Spare Butt Deedlies all around!

You can upload his picture at There are people there who love ID'ing bugs and they would appreciate these good photos too.

Georgia must be quite the wild and woolly place, if every handful of leaves produces such strange bugs.

And maybe he'd eat garlic mustard, The Scourge of the Forest! Just on the offchance, say the word and I'll send off a carton of the stuff. Stick them in a closet and let 'em duke it out, say I!

I agree with Fran, he's far to pretty and personable to be a real bug. He must be fake. Or you invented him - a shiny, glitzy beautiful buggy bug. In which case you are God.

OMG, God? Is that you? It's me, Bug!

I have nothing pithy to say. . .but you are totally crackin' me up with all of your furry creature thingies. Good lands!!!

Oh he's so cute. Or she. How do you check? Looks like a Tussock Moth Caterpillar. Google told me. The Google knows everything.
